Iran unveiled an upgraded version of its Shehab-3 long-range missile.

The new Shehab-3, which has a range of 1,125 miles and has been dubbed "Fate" by Iranian officials, made its first public appearance this month at a military parade in Tehran.

The missile, which is capable of carrying a non-conventional warhead, could be stationed anywhere in Iran and reach Israel. Iran's previous Shehab-3 had a range of 815 miles, which meant it could only threaten Israel if stationed in western Iran.

Israeli officials have noted that some of Iran's ballistic missiles also put parts of Europe within reach.

Iran has threatened to retaliate against Israel and U.S. interests in the Persian Gulf should its nuclear facilities come under attack.
